South Cebu Adventure: Cangcua-Ay Beach Resort in Oslob

The town of Oslob in Southern Cebu have a lot of attractions to see. Just a few meters from the whale shark watching resorts and Port Sumilon is the hidden beach of Cangcua-Ay that is worth to visit!

How To Get There

Cangcua-Ay (aka Cancuay or Cancuaay) Beach is a private beach located inside the resort, Villa Modern Deluxe in Brgy. Tan-awan, Oslob. The entrance to the resort is located along the main road. From the entrance, you will need to walk around 200 steps to the beach.
Welcome to Oslob

FROM CEBU
  • Go to South Bus Terminal then ride a Ceres bus bound to Bato via Oslob.
  • If you're going straight to Cangcua-Ay, ask the bus conductor to drop you off at Cancua-Ay Beach Resort.
  • If you're going to do whale-shark watching or visit Sumilon Island first, ask the bus conductor that you'll be whale-shark watching and they'll drop you off in some resorts.

FROM SAMBOAN/MOALBOAL/BADIAN
  • From Samboan, Ride a Sunray bus that will go directly to Oslob and just ask the bus conductor to drop you off at Cancua-Ay Beach Resort.
  • From Moalboal or Badian, ride a bus bound to Bato (Ceres bus terminal) and from there, transfer to another bus bound to Oslob.

FROM DUMAGUETE
  • Go to Sibulan port and then take a ferry going to Lilo-An Port in Santander, Cebu.
  • Ride a bus in Lilo-An going to Oslob.

Entrance Fee and Rates

Since Cangcua-Ay is a private beach resort, you need to pay an entrance fee that includes cottage use (cottages are limited so its first come, first serve). You can also bring your own food since there is no corkage fee.
Day Tour Rates
Here are the rates:
  • Day Tour (weekday): PhP 120 (Adults) / PhP 50 (Children)
  • Day Tour (weekend): PhP 150 (Adults) / PhP 50 (Children)
  • *Overnight Stay: PhP 300
  • *Tent Rental (max of 4 pax): PhP 1200
  • Room Rates (max of 4 pax): PhP 3500 / PhP 4500 / PhP 6500

The Beach

From the resort entrance along the highway, there is stair that has around 200 steps going down to the beach. Going down in the 200-step stair is not so hard, but going back especially with all your luggage is different LOL. After the 200 steps, you will be welcomed by a beautiful view of the ocean and the resort cottages.

The beach doesn't have a long stretch of white sand but the huge rocks along the shore and the very nice clear waters is still captivating. During high tide, the rocks submerged into the water that adds more beauty to the beach.

You can relax in the hammock beside the huge rocks, try cliff diving on a diving platform standing on one of the huge rocks or just enjoy swimming and gaze upon the horizon of the sea.

    We will remain at Port Orleans - French Quarter to get that resort insight without the expense of remaining at a Deluxe resort. Nonetheless, who can say for sure what the future will bring!
